Signing in to your account

  • On the sign-in screen, "Sign in" tab: email and password, then tap "Sign in".
  • You can also use "Continue with Google". The button appears only when Google sign-in is active. Someone who signed up with Google does not need a password.
  • You stay signed in on the device for up to 30 days, so you do not need to sign in again every time you open the app. To sign out: "More" > "Settings" > "Sign out" > confirm in the "Sign out?" window.
  • If you typed wrong details, "The email or password is incorrect" appears. The message is the same on purpose even when the email does not exist, so as not to reveal who is registered.
  • After 5 failed attempts in a row you need to wait about a quarter of an hour and try again. This is a protection for your account.

Forgot my password

  1. On the sign-in screen, in the "Sign in" tab, tap "Forgot my password". The "Reset your password" screen opens.
  2. Type the email you signed up with and tap "Send me a link".
  3. The message appears: "If the address is registered with us, we sent it a link to reset the password. The link is valid for a limited time." The message is the same whether the address is registered or not.
  4. Open the email and tap the link. The link is valid for one hour.
  5. On the "Choose a new password" screen type "New password" (at least 10 characters), repeat it in "Confirm the new password" and tap "Save the password".
  6. "Your password was changed. You can sign in with the new password." appears. Tap "Back to sign in" and sign in.

Good to know:

  • After the password reset, all devices that were signed in are signed out, and you need to sign in again on all of them. An email is also sent telling you the password was changed. If it was not you, reset the password again right away.
  • The reset also confirms the email address.
  • If the link is not valid: "The link is not valid or has expired. You can ask for a new one." Tap "Ask for a new link". A link opens only once.
  • If there is no email in the inbox, check the spam folder and that you typed the right address.
  • If you signed up with Google there is no password to reset. Sign in with "Continue with Google".
  • There is currently no button in Settings for changing the password while you are signed in. If you want a new password, use "Forgot my password" as described above.

Confirming the email address

  • After sign-up an email with a confirmation link is sent, and it is valid for 24 hours. Tapping it shows "Your email address is confirmed. Thank you!" and "Continue to the app".
  • The app works as usual even before the address is confirmed, and there is no need to wait for the confirmation to start.
  • If the link expired or is damaged, "The link is not valid or has expired" appears. While the address is not confirmed, a bar at the top of the app says "Your email is not confirmed yet" and has a "Send again" button that sends a new confirmation email.
  • An account created with Google arrives with a confirmed address.

What information is kept about me

The tutor:

  • Email, password (kept in a form from which the original password cannot be recovered), the name you chose, the rates, templates and preferences such as language and theme.
  • Classes, students, parent details you entered, lessons, payments and history.
  • Subscription details: the plan, charges and invoices. We do not see or store the credit card number itself. It is entered on the secure page of the payment company, and what we keep is only the card type and the last four digits.
  • The public profile, if you filled it in.

Students and parents who search the portal:

  • There is no sign-up and no account.
  • Anonymous search data (a search point, without a name or contact details) is kept for protection against flooding and demand statistics, and is deleted automatically after 90 days.
  • A reveal does not ask for an email and does not lead to a rating. Only a verified student can rate, through a personal link the tutor sends.

Who sees the data

  • Each tutor's data is completely separate. One tutor cannot see another tutor's classes, students or debts.
  • The details of students and parents that you entered are used only so you can manage lessons and send reminders. Reminders are sent only by you, from your device.
  • Students and parents are never exposed to any information about other students.

Privacy of the public profile

Full details are in the portal chapter. In short: your exact address is never shown, the details (name, phone, WhatsApp, email) are revealed only at a student's request and only the detail that was chosen, and phone numbers and emails in the free texts are removed automatically. To stop appearing: "More" > "Public profile", turn off "Show me in the public search portal" and tap "Save profile".

Emails and messages from the system

The system emails you when something happens to your account, not for every action. There are two kinds:

  • Emails about money and access are always sent and cannot be switched off: a receipt for a charge that went through, a charge that failed (on the attempts of the 1st, the 4th and the 8th of the month, with a link to fix the card), the account being locked, and the subscription being cancelled.
  • Courtesy emails are sent once for each occasion: a welcome after you verify your email address, a reminder a week before the free trial ends and another a day before, and a message that the trial has ended and you moved to the free plan. The owners of the system can switch these off, so you may not receive one of them.

Emails go out in one language, the language of the account (Hebrew, English, Russian or Arabic), and at most once for each occasion.

What happens in the system itself (sign-in lockouts, sign-ins from a new address, single failures, new inquiries) is recorded in the system owners' dashboard and is not sent to you. Even for them an email goes out only for something critical, such as the site being down or a failure collecting subscriptions, and for each type of event they choose "dashboard only" or "also email". A teacher's account has no such screen.

My data is always mine

  • "Export to Excel" on the "Collection" screen downloads all your lessons and students, even when the account is locked or the subscription was cancelled.
  • Cancelling the subscription or moving to the Free plan does not delete data.

Deleting the account

You can delete the account yourself, but the chat cannot delete it for you. In "More" tap "I want to delete the account" and confirm with the password (or with the account's email, if it was opened through Google and has no password). What happens:

  • The account is locked at once: nobody can sign in and the profile leaves the portal.
  • 30 days later the data is erased for good: students, lessons, classes, messages and support conversations.
  • Invoices and payment records are kept, as the law requires, without identifying details.
  • There is no refund, and the days you used the subscription until today are charged as usual on the 1st of next month.

Before that you can export the data with "Export to Excel". If you only want to stop paying, you can cancel the subscription in "More" > "My subscription" > "Cancel the subscription", without deleting the account.

Installing and several devices

  • You can sign in to the same account from several devices. The data is kept in the account and not on the device, so removing the app from a device does not delete data.
  • Installing the app on the home screen is explained in the getting started chapter.
