Accessibility statement

The operator's details will be completed soon; the binding wording is the one published together with the full details
The adjustments made so that the Service is accessible to people with disabilities, the standard it is tested against, known exceptions, and how to reach the accessibility coordinator.
Our commitment and the legal basis
(company details - to be published soon) regards accessibility as part of providing an equal service, and acts under the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, 5758-1998, and under regulation 35 of the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (Service Accessibility Adjustments), 5773-2013, which apply to internet services the Israeli standard SI 5568, based on the WCAG 2.0 guidelines at level AA.
The Service, in all three of its parts (the teachers app, the Portal and Teaching School), is tested against the WCAG 2.1 guidelines at level AA, the continuation of the WCAG 2.0 guidelines on which SI 5568 is based. The declared level of accessibility: conformance at level AA, subject to the exceptions set out in this statement.
The adjustments made
- Semantic page structure: navigation and content regions are marked, headings follow a logical order, and a "skip to main content" link is at the top of every page.
- Full keyboard operation, with a clear focus indicator, on every screen and in the dialogs; a dialog keeps the focus inside it and closes with the Escape key.
- A right-to-left interface in Hebrew and Arabic and a left-to-right one in English and Russian; the page direction and language update with the language choice, for screen readers.
- The interface colours are checked automatically for a contrast ratio meeting the level AA requirements, in light mode and in dark mode.
- Every form field has a label; errors are shown in text, linked to the field and read out by a screen reader; images and icons have alternative text.
- A responsive design adapted to small screens and to enlarged text, and touch targets of a sufficient size on mobile devices.
- Information is not conveyed by colour alone, and the interface honours the operating system's "reduce motion" setting.
What was checked and when
The Service's standing test suite includes automated axe-core checks in a real browser on the main flows: registration, recording a lesson, collection, searching for teachers in the Portal and the teacher card, the join form, setting up a school, and the teacher and Scheduler screens of the school. Completing these flows with the keyboard alone is checked, the contrast ratio of every interface colour is measured, and a Lighthouse accessibility score is measured for the Portal and for the teacher's home page. The date of the latest check is the update date at the top of this page.
Known exceptions and alternatives
The following content and components are not fully accessible, and each has an alternative:
- The map in the portal is a graphical component that is not accessible to a screen reader. The same results are also available as a full list of tutors beside it.
- A manual test with screen readers and with users with disabilities has not yet been carried out; it is planned.
- Documents the Service produces (PDF reports and Excel files) may not meet every accessibility requirement. At the request of a person with a disability we provide the document's content in an accessible format within a reasonable time and no later than 14 days.
- Third-party components, among them the iCount payment page, the Cloudflare Turnstile check and a Google advertisement, are shown as the provider supplies them and are not under our control. Anyone who has difficulty with them should contact us and we will offer an alternative way to complete the action.
The accessibility tools on the site
The Portal shows an accessibility button that opens a menu with the tools text size (up to 150%), high contrast, highlight links, stop animations and dark mode. The settings are saved in your browser only and are not sent to us, and all of them can be reset with one button in the same menu. In every part of the Service you can also use the browser's zoom and the operating system's accessibility settings, and the interface honours them.
Contact, the accessibility coordinator and an accessible alternative
Did you encounter an accessibility difficulty, or do you have a suggestion for improvement? You can contact the accessibility coordinator: (coordinator name - to be published soon), phone (coordinator phone - to be published soon), email (coordinator email - to be published soon). In your message please state the page address, the difficulty, and the browser and assistive technology you used.
We answer every message promptly, offer an accessible alternative way to complete the action where needed, and fix a fault found as soon as possible and no later than 60 days from the message, unless a longer time is required for technological reasons, in which case we notify the person who wrote to us.
Validity of the statement and its updating
This statement is updated on every change in the level of accessibility, in the exceptions or in the contact details, and at least once a year. The date of the latest update appears at the top of the page.
