What Teaching School does
- Constraints in plain language. Write the way you speak, for example "Ronit does not teach on Tuesdays" or "no math after the sixth period for grade 7". The system shows you how it understood each sentence, and no constraint enters the calculation before you approve it.
- A timetable in one click. A constraint solver arranges all classes and teachers together, and a separate check confirms that no teacher is in two classes at the same hour. A constraint that could not be met is listed with the reason, and if they cannot all be met you are told what conflicts.
- Manual fixes without breaking the rest. Drag a lesson to another slot and it is locked. "Recalculate" changes as little as possible in the rest of the timetable.
- Send to teachers and collect comments. Each teacher gets an email with a link to their timetable and a place to write a comment. Comments are collected in one place, and you can recalculate from them and publish.
- Absences and substitutions. A teacher reports an absence from their phone, and the system proposes a substitute for each lesson by fixed rules: free at that hour, qualified, within their own constraints, and fair in the month's substitution hours. You approve with one click and the substitute answers "yes" or "no" from a link in the email. A lesson with no substitute shows on screen as "no substitute" and is never swallowed.
- A monthly report for payroll. On the 1st of each month, in the morning, a substitution-hours report is built: a summary per teacher and the detail of every lesson, as PDF and Excel. It is sent to the person who builds the timetable and kept, and the total in the summary always equals the detail rows.
Who it is for
A school that wants a timetable and substitution management without a complicated system. The person who runs it is the timetable teacher: a teacher like any other, not a systems administrator. The other teachers sign in from a link in an email, with no password and nothing to install. A principal or deputy can view only.
The system holds no student data at all. Only teachers and classes.
What it costs
One annual payment, by the number of active teachers in the school, VAT included. Everything is included: the solver, the emails, the substitutions and the payroll report.
- 2,400 ILS per year, up to 39 teachers
- 3,000 ILS per year, 40 to 89 teachers
- 3,900 ILS per year, 90 teachers or more
It is free until the school's first timetable is published, because a working timetable is the best proof. After the first publication you have 14 days to arrange payment; if you do not pay, the system becomes read-only, and the published timetable stays available for printing and export. You pay by card or bank transfer and receive a tax invoice.
The tier is set by the highest number of active teachers during the period, and a change of tier in the middle of a year takes effect at the next renewal.
How to start
- Register as a school and choose a name, school year, study days and lessons per day.
- Enter teachers and classes by typing. You can import the teachers from an Excel or CSV file, and the subjects and weekly hours of classes that already exist from an Excel file.
- Write constraints in plain language and approve what the system understood. You can also ask each teacher by email to write their own constraints.
- Press "Build a timetable" and get a timetable for every class and every teacher.
- Send it to the teachers, collect comments and publish.
Privacy and Gefen status
- There is no student data in the system, only teachers and classes.
- Teachers sign in with a single-use link in an email, with no password.
- Each school's data is isolated from every other school, at the database level.
- Registration as an approved vendor in the Ministry of Education's Gefen is in progress. Until it is complete, schools join directly.
Frequently asked questions
What if not all the constraints can be met?
The system tells you what conflicts and why, in plain language. For example, a teacher may be the only one who teaches a subject, so their constraint and another one cannot both be met. A soft constraint that was not met is listed with the reason.
What do the teachers have to do?
Nothing in advance. They get a link in an email, see their timetable, write constraints or comments, report an absence and answer a substitution request. All of it works from a phone or a computer.
What happens to the monthly report once it is sent?
It is kept and never changes. If something needs correcting, a new corrected report is produced with a note that explains what was corrected.
Does Teaching School replace Mashov?
No. It covers the timetable, absences and substitutions. Teachers come in from an Excel or CSV file, the subjects and weekly hours of existing classes come in from an Excel file, and the published timetable exports to Excel.
What if we do not pay?
After the arrangement period the system becomes read-only. You can keep viewing, printing and exporting the published timetable, but not changing it. Paying brings everything back.
